Don Gnecco
Stained-glass Artisan
A career educator, Don and his wife Nancy relocated to Habersham County from New England in 2012. After seven years at Piedmont University, where he served as Dean of Education, Don retired, providing more time for creative pursuits.
While living on the coast of Maine, Don had a stained -glass workshop in his basement, where he crafted many colorful panels, window inserts, decorative mirrors, and desktop organizers. He has re-created his workshop in studio space here at Hemlock Studio Gallery. In addition to stained-glass crafting, Don is a songwriter and church musician at Unity of Gainesville.
