Linda Conway
Painter
Linda Conway is a talented artist living in Habersham County, Georgia. She began painting as a child, with encouragement from her mother. She says that her artistic ability "touches her soul.”
Early on, Linda was very interested in animals. Of her enjoyment of painting animals, Linda says: "As I am painting even a simple bumblebee, I feel as if I am drawn inside the painting by the bee and become in tune with the process."
Linda began taking art classes at the Art Studio in Clarkesville, Georgia in 2001 and continued her studies there when the Art Studio moved to the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association.
In 2008, Linda was offered the exciting opportunity to continue her art education by studying in Florence, Italy, where she expanded her work both stylistically and technically. She has also studied with several well-known art educators including Dianne Mize, Robin Miltner, Terry Harrison, and Bruce Marion. Currently, Linda works primarily in the mediums of acrylics, oils, and pastels.
Linda's work is currently being exhibited here at Hemlock Studio Gallery, and in the gallery at the Sautee-Nacoochee Community Association in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia.
Linda is active with the Sautee-Nacoochee Community Association and is a member of both the National Endowment for the Arts and the Georgia Council for the Arts.
